The paper presents the results of detection and tracing of structural and material changes in the soil of some nuclear energy facilities placements of Kazakhstan based on geophysical and athmogeochemical data. Spatial and temporal connection of changes of electrical resistivity, natural seismic noise, gas permeability of the sand-clay section rocks, connected with deformation processes has been demonstrated. The results of the testing of potential geophysical technologies and observational networks of monitoring at the test facilities are presented.

The sputtering yields of molybdenum, tungsten, and graphite surface have been experimentally measured after irradiation with argon ions at the energy of 100 keV. The measurements of Mo and W sputtering yields were performed using the Rutherford backscattering method to measure the thickness of the sputtered layer. The sputtering yield of the graphite surface was calculated from the measurements of the mass loss of irradiated graphite. The comparison of the experimentally obtained values of the sputtering yields showed a good agreement with the theoretical calculations.
