В ходе испытаний военного и гражданского назначения было накоплено огромное количество ценной информации, большая часть которой находилась под грифом секретно. В 1991 г. после распада СССР полигон был закрыт на основании Указа № 409 Президента Казахстана Н. Назарбаева. C этого времени СИП стал объектом изучения последствий радиоактивного загрязнения окружающей среды, сейсмической активности при взрывах. В данной работе проведен наукометрический анализ информационного массива по СИП, представленный в крупнейшей международной базе данных Web of Science (WoS).</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Construction of Semipalatinsk Test Site (STS) at the territory of East Kazakhstan was initiated in 1947. During military and civil tests conduction a large amount of valuable information was accumulated, the major part of which remained classified. In 1991 after USSR collapse the test site was closed by N. Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan, Decree # 409. Since that time STS became the object for study of consequences of radioactive contamination in environment, seismic activity during explosions.
