The periodic scientific and technical journal "NNC RK Bulletin" was created in 2000 at the initiative of scientists of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the aim of widely covering nuclear power development in Kazakhstan, radiation ecology, conversion of infrastructure of the former nuclear test sites, non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. From the very beginning of the publication of the journal, thematic areas were identified:
- Nuclear Power and NPP Safety;
- Geophysics and Nonproliferation;
- Radioecology. Environment Protection;
- Nuclear Physics and Radiation Materials Science.
The journal soon gained popularity in Kazakhstan’s and international scientific community. Later, the concept of the journal was changed, including new cover and increased circulation. Since 2006, the journal in electronic pdf format was published at the web site of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
